Mt.Tanigawa is a snow season from November to May.

Since snow remains around top of the peak in June as well, the best time to climb is from mid-July after the rainy season until the fall season in late October. Although there are only three months, it is recommended to make plans for this season.

After the rainy season, there is a high probability of clear skies, but as the altitude is not so high (2000 m), be careful of sunstroke and heatstroke on summer days. In October, the mornings and evenings are chilly, and it can get quite cold when the wind blows. The first snowfall is from mid-October to early November.

(2) To climb Tenjin Ridge using the ropeway

There are three routes to climb Mt.Tanigawa. Beginners should choose Tenjin ridge by ropeway. Also, use the lift to Tenjin Toge. From Tenjin Toge, you can see the top of Mt. Tanigawa. If you know the goal at the start of the climb, you will be psychologically motivated to do your best.

(3) To ride ropeway by 9:00 a.m. at the latest

(9) To find out the minimum necessary information on mountain climbing

Do not leave it to others, but get information about the route, course time, and outline of the climb yourself from the Internet and books. Nowadays, you can get a lot of information on the Internet.

The course time from Tenjin-daira to the top is about 2 hours and 10 minutes (not including rest time) for the ascent and about 1 hour and 45 minutes for the descent.

Please consider the course time as a rough estimate. If you do not reach the top by 12:00 p.m., you should dismount. In the afternoon, thunderstorms are likely to occur.
